Vladimir Bogin, MD – Chairman and President
For over 15 years, Dr. Bogin has been involved in the drug development cycle, from basic discovery research, to clinical trial initiation, to multi-center Phase III and IV trials. Dr. Bogin was trained at Yale and Brown and has held director-level positions with Big Pharma before founding the international contract research organization Cromos Pharma. He is advisor to numerous companies and non-profit organizations, as well as maintaining hospital privileges in Oregon.
Sergey Sablin, Ph.D – Vice President
Dr. Sablin is a serial entrepreneur, a private investor, and a consultant in the biotech industry. He was a sole founder and CEO of Selena Pharmaceuticals, Inc., which was closed at an over $40MM exit having spent only $500K in development. He was also a co-founder of a NASDAQ company Medivation, Inc.. Currently, Dr. Sablin serves as a board member and a consultant for several US and international medical and bio-pharmaceutical companies. Prior to moving into biotech industry, Dr. Sablin was a researcher at the Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics, UCSF, and a principle investigator at NCIRE, VAMC. Dr Sablin received his PhD degree in biochemistry from the Lomonosov Moscow State University. He is an author of over 40 scientific publications.
Vladimir Zaharchook – Vice Chairman
Mr. Zaharchook is an accomplished entrepreneur and strategist. Since graduating, he has been involved in numerous ventures. Vice President and Vice Chairman of Medistem, Vladimir has more than 23 years of business experience. He participated in organizing private business enterprises in the Post-Soviet Russia, helped develop banking sector, worked in the insurance industry, occupied top managerial positions in a number of Russian companies. He is currently working in the Real Estate business, including residential sales, real estate development and real estate adviser to private investors. The Wall Street Journal published sales statistics naming Vladimir as one of the most successful Real Estate Brokers in the US for 7 years in a row.
Vladimir graduated with both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from the St. Petersburg University of Economics & Finance. He is also a graduate of the School of Bank Managers in Moscow and the School of Upper Managerial Personnel for Insurance Companies in Moscow. Vladimir has over 20 publications in the field of Currency/Monetary Circulation and Banking Loans.
Thomas Ichim, Ph.D. – CEO
Dr. Ichim is a seasoned biotechnology entrepreneur with a track record of scientific excellence. He has founded/co-founded several companies including Medvax Pharma Corp, ToleroTech Inc, bioRASI, and OncoMune LLC. Dr. Ichim is a member of Vendevia Group, an innovative venture development organization focused on optimization of value in biotechnology ventures. He is scientific advisor to Orcrist Bio, Entest, and MBVaX. To date he has published 67 peer-reviewed articles and is co-editor of the textbook “RNA Interference: From Bench to Clinical Translation”. Ichim is an ad-hoc editor and sits on several editorial boards. Ichim is inventor on over 30 patents and patent applications.
